Disclaimer
What you can and cannot rely on when you use srvScripts guides, scripts, free tools, AI output, reviews and recommendations.
This disclaimer applies to all content and tools on srvscripts.com. It is part of our terms of service.
1. Information, not professional advice
Our guides, scripts, tool results and AI answers are general technical information. They are written for system administrators and developers and do not replace advice from a qualified professional who knows your systems, contracts and legal situation. Nothing on the site is legal, financial, tax or compliance advice.
2. Accuracy and currency
We test what we publish and date our guides, but software, control panels, operating systems and provider policies change quickly. Commands, version numbers, prices and screenshots can go out of date. Version and support data on the site comes from endoflife.date and the vendors’ own update feeds and is refreshed automatically twice a day, so it can lag behind a release by a few hours. Always check the official documentation for your exact version before you make changes, and tell us through the contact page if you find a mistake — we correct errors promptly.
3. Use scripts and commands at your own risk
- Read every script and command before you run it, and make sure you understand what it does.
- Test on a staging or non-production system first.
- Take a full, tested backup before you change a live server, database, DNS zone or mail system.
- Run commands with the least privileges needed, and only on systems you own or are authorised to manage.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for downtime, data loss, security incidents, blacklisting or other damage caused by running scripts or following instructions from this site.
4. Free online tools
- Results reflect what our servers saw at the moment of the test, from our network location. DNS caching, propagation delays, geo-routing, firewalls and rate limits can make results differ from what others see.
- Blacklist, reputation, WHOIS/RDAP, ASN, ping and traceroute results come from third-party sources that we do not control and that can be incomplete, delayed or wrong.
- Scores and grades (for example the email deliverability score or website health grade) are our own technical assessments to help you prioritise. They are not certifications and do not guarantee inbox placement, search rankings, security or compliance.
- Use network tools only against systems you own or have permission to test. You are responsible for how you use them.
5. AI tools
AI answers are generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or unsafe, even when they sound confident. Review all AI output, especially commands, firewall rules and configuration, before using it. Never paste secrets such as passwords or private keys into an AI tool.
6. Security content
Guides about hardening, firewalls, malware and incident response are for defending systems you are responsible for. Do not use them to access or test systems without permission; that can be a crime.
7. Reviews, comparisons and affiliate links
- Our reviews and comparisons reflect our testing and opinion at the date shown. Prices, plans and features change; check the provider’s site before you buy.
- Some links are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never decides our verdicts, and we do not accept payment for positive reviews. Details are in the affiliate disclosure.
- Mentioning a provider or product does not mean that provider has reviewed, approved or endorsed our content.
8. Third-party websites and services
We link to external websites, documentation and services for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.
9. Trademarks
cPanel, WHM, DirectAdmin, Plesk, CloudLinux, Imunify360, LiteSpeed, Microsoft, Windows Server, Google, Gmail, Cloudflare, PayPal and other names are trademarks of their respective owners. srvScripts is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them unless we say so explicitly.
10. Paid services
Paid fixes and services are governed by our terms of service and refund policy, which set out what we promise for paid work. This disclaimer does not reduce those promises.
11. Limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site, its content or its tools. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer.
