The AI error explainer turns a cryptic error message into a plain-English explanation, a ranked list of likely causes and the checks and fixes for each one. It covers the stacks srvScripts writes about: cPanel and WHM, DirectAdmin, Plesk, Apache, Nginx and LiteSpeed, MariaDB and MySQL, PHP and WordPress, Exim, Postfix and Dovecot, Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
AI answers can be wrong. Read every command before you run it, and test on a non-production server first. Your input is sent to our AI provider (srvScripts AI) to write the answer. srvScripts does not log your input; the answer, which can quote it, is cached for 24 hours so a repeat question is answered instantly. See the privacy policy.

Paste the exact text, add a line about what you were doing, and you get a structured answer instead of a dozen forum threads that each describe a different cause.
How to use the AI error explainer
- Choose where you saw the error, or leave it on “Not sure”.
- Paste the exact error text, including codes such as AH01630, 0x800f0922 or SQLSTATE.
- Add what you were doing when it appeared, for example “running an ELevate upgrade”.
- Press Explain error.
What you get
- What the error means in two or three sentences.
- Common causes ranked from most to least likely.
- How to confirm each cause, with commands and log locations.
- The fix for each cause and when to open a ticket with your host or vendor.
Worked example
Example: you paste “SQLSTATE[HY000] [1040] Too many connections” from a WordPress site. The explainer says MariaDB has hit max_connections, lists the usual causes — slow queries holding connections, a traffic spike or a plugin that never closes connections — shows how to see live connections with SHOW PROCESSLIST, and gives the safe way to raise the limit.
Tips for better answers
- Copy the error exactly; one changed word can point to a different cause.
- For a string of errors, use the AI log analyzer instead.

Privacy and limits
Before anything is sent, srvScripts removes private keys, passwords, tokens and API keys it recognises. With the box ticked it also swaps public IP addresses and e-mail addresses for placeholders, which lowers the risk when you paste real logs. The masking is automatic and best effort: it can miss names, hostnames, keys or other customer details, so remove anything confidential before you paste. Your text goes to our AI provider only to write the answer. srvScripts does not save your input as a record of its own, but the masked input is sent to the AI provider to produce the answer, and the answer, which can quote parts of your input, is cached on our server for 24 hours so a repeat question is answered instantly, and is then deleted. The provider’s own API data terms apply to what it receives. Without an account you get 5 runs a day, a free account gets 15 and srvScripts Pro 200, with larger inputs.

Frequently asked questions
Which errors does the AI error explainer handle best?
Errors from web servers, control panels, databases, mail servers and Windows Server — the areas srvScripts covers in its guides.
Does it know about my exact server?
Only what you paste. Mention the OS, control panel and version for more precise answers.
Can I paste a stack trace?
Yes, but trim it to the first 30–50 lines; the top of the trace usually holds the cause.
