This JustCall review looks at the cloud phone system from the angle of an IT admin who has to deploy it and a manager who has to justify the cost. JustCall runs entirely in the cloud: users call from a browser, desktop app, mobile app or supported desk phone, and there is no PBX, SIP trunk or inbound firewall rule to maintain. Its main selling point is how deeply it connects calls and SMS to CRMs.
Short answer: JustCall is a good fit for sales and support teams of two or more people who live in a CRM such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or Zoho: every plan includes unlimited calling within your region, SMS and 100+ integrations, starting at $29 per user per month billed annually or $39 monthly. Pick Pro ($49 annual) for a power dialer and Salesforce CTI; AI coaching and call scoring start at Pro Plus ($89). A small office that just needs extensions and voicemail can find cheaper options.

How we reviewed it
This review is based on JustCall’s published plans, feature pages, fair-usage terms and documentation, checked on 30 September 2026, compared against the requirements we see when moving offices off 3CX and Asterisk. We will add hands-on call-quality measurements from our own test setup in a future update.
Who it is for
Teams where phone calls are part of a sales or support pipeline: inside sales, customer success, clinics booking appointments, agencies and e-commerce support. The value comes from calls, recordings, SMS and notes landing automatically in the CRM record. It is less compelling for a small office that only needs a reception number, a few extensions and voicemail.
What you get
- Calling: unlimited inbound and outbound minutes within the selected region under a fair-use policy; toll-free, premium, international calls and call forwarding are excluded.
- Numbers: local numbers in more than 70 countries, with number bundles as an add-on.
- Messaging: 500 SMS segments per user on Team and 1,000 on Pro and above.
- Call handling: IVR and call menus on every plan; intelligent routing, queue callback and a power dialer on Pro.
- AI: unlimited AI transcription on all plans; AI note-taking, call scoring, sentiment analysis and real-time agent assist on Pro Plus; an AI voice agent to answer calls is a separate add-on.
- Admin: API access and workflows on every plan; SSO, enterprise SLA and HIPAA or GDPR compliance on the Business plan.

The annual discount is up to 29%. Budget for add-ons if you need more numbers, SMS bundles or the AI voice agent, and remember that every self-serve plan needs at least two licences.
Deployment notes for IT
Because the apps connect outbound, there are no SIP ports to open on the office firewall; allow outbound HTTPS and UDP media and disable SIP ALG on the router if desk phones are used. Size upload bandwidth and QoS for concurrent calls as described in the VoIP codec bandwidth guide, and plan number porting early, since it is the slowest part of any switch.
What could be better
- The two-licence minimum makes it poor value for a single user.
- The most interesting AI features sit on the most expensive self-serve tier.
- International calling is billed separately, which matters for teams calling several countries.
Alternatives
CloudTalk starts slightly cheaper, allows a single licence on its lower plans and covers numbers in more countries; see our JustCall vs CloudTalk comparison. Teams that want to keep full control on their own servers can stay with 3CX or Asterisk and follow our SIP ports firewall guide.
Verdict
For CRM-driven sales and support teams, JustCall is one of the most complete cloud phone systems at its price, with unlimited regional calling and SMS included from the first plan. Start a trial with two users, connect your CRM, and check call quality from each office before moving your numbers.

Frequently asked questions
Does JustCall include unlimited calling?
Yes, every plan includes unlimited inbound and outbound minutes within the selected calling region under a fair-use policy. International, toll-free, premium-rate calls and call forwarding are not included in the unlimited allowance.
Can one person use JustCall?
Self-serve plans need at least two licences, so a single user pays for two. A solo user or very small office may find a plan with a one-licence minimum better value.
Do I need to open firewall ports for JustCall?
No inbound ports are needed. The apps connect outbound over HTTPS and UDP, so allowing outbound traffic and turning off SIP ALG on the router is normally enough.
