Write for srvScripts

Fixed something real on a server? Write for us and share it. Tested guides, scripts and reviews, published under your name.

Short answer: srvScripts publishes practical, tested guides, scripts and reviews for people who keep servers running. If you fixed something real on cPanel, DirectAdmin, Linux, Windows Server, Microsoft 365 or VoIP, send us a short pitch. Accepted pieces are published under your name with an author page.

What we publish

  • Fix guides for a real error, with the exact error text, the cause and the commands that fixed it.
  • How-to guides you ran yourself, with the versions you tested on (for example AlmaLinux 9.6, cPanel 132, Windows Server 2025).
  • Bash or PowerShell scripts that do one job well, with a usage example and sample output. Scripts are published under the MIT License.
  • Honest reviews and comparisons of tools you have used in production, with prices and the date you checked them.

What we do not publish

  • Paid or sponsored posts, or articles written to place links. Links to your own product are not allowed in the article.
  • Text that was generated by AI and not tested by you. You may use tools to help with language, but every command must have been run by you.
  • Content already published elsewhere, including your own blog.
  • Anything that helps attack systems you do not own.

How it works

  1. Send the pitch below: a title, the problem, the versions you tested on and the main steps.
  2. We reply within five business days. If it fits, we create a Contributor account for you on srvscripts.com.
  3. You write the draft on the site. Contributors can save and submit drafts but cannot publish.
  4. We edit for clarity, check the commands and send you the final version. Nothing goes live without your OK.
  5. It is published with your name, a short bio and a link to your GitHub, LinkedIn or site on your author page.

Terms in plain words

  • You keep the copyright. You give srvScripts a permanent, non-exclusive right to publish, edit, update and translate the piece on srvscripts.com and in our newsletter.
  • Scripts are released under the MIT License.
  • Contributions are unpaid for now. You get a byline, an author page and a link to your profile.
  • We may update the piece later when software versions change, and the page will say when it was last reviewed.
